Bespoke Picture Framing Terms & Conditions

1. Quotations

  • All quotes provided are estimates and subject to change upon in-person evaluation of the artwork. Final pricing will consider the selected mounting and framing methods, materials, and any conservation requirements. A revised quote will be issued if specifications change after the initial assessment.

  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

2. Orders and Cancellations

  • Once an order for bespoke framing has commenced, cancellations or modifications are not permitted, as per the Consumer Contracts Regulations Act 2013.

  • Orders for made-to-measure goods cannot be returned for a refund unless they are unfit for purpose.

3. Payment Terms

  • A deposit may be required before commencing work, especially for custom-designed frames.

  • The balance is payable upon completion, prior to collection or delivery.

  • Payments can be made via bank transfer or major debit/credit cards. We do not accept American Express.

  • All prices are quoted in GBP and include VAT at the prevailing rate.

4. Production and Lead Times

  • Production timelines are approximate and may vary based on supplier availability and workload. We will communicate any significant delays.

  • If you have a specific deadline, please inform us at the time of ordering.

5. Materials and Variations

  • Sample materials, including chevrons, mouldings, mountboards, and glazing, may exhibit variations in colour, grain, or finish due to their natural characteristics.

  • We recommend reviewing samples in person to ensure satisfaction with the final product.

6. Artwork Handling and Mounting

  • Artworks may experience natural movement, such as rippling, due to environmental factors like humidity. Mounting to a rigid board can mitigate this, but please note that dry mounting is a non-reversible process.

  • Any processes that may pose a risk to the artwork will be discussed and agreed upon with the client before proceeding.

7. Insurance and Liability

  • While we take utmost care in handling your artwork, we recommend that clients insure their pieces for their full replacement value while in our custody.

8. Collection, Delivery, and Storage

  • Free collection is available only within the KT8 postcode area (Molesey).
This includes East Molesey and West Molesey. For all other areas, collection may be arranged subject to additional charges.

  • Delivery is not included in the quoted price.
Charges will vary based on delivery location, frame dimensions, weight, packaging requirements, and insurance costs.

  • Completed works should be collected within 30 days of notification. After this period, storage fees of £10 per week may apply.

  • Uncollected works remaining after six months may be disposed of or sold to recover costs, following written notice.

9. Ownership and Title

  • All frames and materials remain the property of Epic Art Story until full payment has been received.
  • We reserve the right to retain possession of artworks until all outstanding balances are settled.

10. Warranty and Aftercare

  • Our frames are guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of completion.

  • This warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper handling, installation, or environmental factors after collection or delivery.

  • Any alterations or repairs by third parties without our prior consent will void the warranty.
